4. Clear out all wood shaving or debris from the holes and bore hole.
5. Insert your door latch or dead bolt back into the door.
6. Insert ReSecure Latch over the door latch or dead bolt (there is a center cut out that allows it to rest inside the doors bore hole over the latch).
7. Take the machine screws and insert them in the latch.
8. While holding onto Resecure Latch to the inside of the bore hole, Using your fingers, start to thread them into the pre-treaded holes.
9. Take a drill or screw driver with a Philips tip and tighten the screws.

FAQs
1. I don’t have a 5/16 drill bit.
A: You can use the next size down but it will be a little more difficult to line up the supplied screws to catch the threads.
If you have the next size up from a 5/16, that will work just fine.
2. When I try to thread in the machine screws, it will not screw in with my fingers.
A: Unscrew them and try again. Your angle may be off and cross threading could be the problem. ReSecure Latch is threaded exactly to the machine screws that came in the package. Try again as straight as you can.
3. My door has a bore hole that is further out and the supplied screws are too short.
A: The screws supplied are for the standard offset most commonly found on residential doors. You can measure the offset of your doors bore hole and pick up at your local hardware store the length of screw you need. Ask for a Philips #10×32 machine screw and length you need.
4. My door handle will not fit back into the door’s bore hole after installing ReSecure Latch.
A: ReSecure Latch is designed with a thin profile to sit along side of the doors bore hole and works with most door brands like Kwikset, Yale, Defiant, Master Lock, Brinks, US Hardware, Trans-Atlantic Co, Global Door Controls, and many others. Due to the design of Schlage, ReSecure Latch is a very tight fit and may not work with all of their products.
